Claude Duet is Anthropic's new AI agent for professionals and small business owners, and it launched this week as a research preview. If you run a business in Miami or anywhere in South Florida, here is what Claude Duet does and whether it fits your day.

What Is Claude Duet?

Claude Duet is an AI agent app from Anthropic, the company behind Claude. It runs on Claude Opus 5.5 and works on iPhone, Android and the Claude website. Unlike a chatbot that waits for your question, it comes to you first with what needs your attention.

What Can Claude Duet Do for a Small Business?

Each morning, Claude Duet sends a short brief on the most important items across your connected apps. During the day it checks those apps every few hours and messages you only when something needs you.

You can also hand it tasks, such as scheduling meetings, building a sales forecast or drafting follow-up emails. It connects to tools like Gmail, Slack, QuickBooks, Stripe, HubSpot and Docusign.

One early tester, Amin Ebrahimi, owns Shahs of Kabob in South Florida with about 110 employees. He used Claude Duet for accounting, customer support and marketing, and said he no longer needs to open 100 tabs.

How Does Claude Duet Keep You in Control?

Claude Duet asks for your approval before it sends a message, makes a payment, signs a document or deletes anything. Trading securities and moving money between accounts are off limits even with your approval.

Anthropic also added a safety check that blocks sharing the strictest information, such as credit card numbers and government ID. The company admits this is an early version that can misread a thread or miscalibrate what is urgent, so review its work.

Who Can Use Claude Duet Right Now?

Access starts with a waitlist for US subscribers on Claude Pro and Max plans. During the research preview, Claude Duet is included in those plans and shares the same usage limits as the rest of Claude. Its background checks count toward those limits too.
